our story

A message from the founders:

“A parent once approached me (Maulana Shoeb Nakhuda) in relation to his child being taught the Qur’an. My natural response was, “why not enrol him into one of the local evening madrassahs?”. The parent then informed me that due to his child’s visual impairment, local madrassahs currently lack the facilities to cater for him.

When Hazrat Maulana Yusuf Motala RH (d.2019) – founder of Darul Uloom Al Arabiya Al Islamiya, Bury – was told of the intention to purchase a site for the purpose of providing Islamic education for the visually impaired, his words were: “You are fulfilling a fardh al-kifāyah (communal obligation) on behalf of the Ummah.”

Hazrat’s words resonate with us deeply. We at Al Qalam Vision Institute ask for your du’ās in fulfilling this obligation on behalf of the Ummah, and humbly request donations.”
